The Meaning Field, 2006

4.5 x 6.5 inches

The Meaning Field is a theory based on the isomorphic concept of fields in physics. It states that meaning is quantifiable based on a network of relative values of significance. Experiences are composed of the position and sequence of objects and situations, which act as nodes of fluctuating values of meaning for an individual. These nodes represent distortions in the meaning field, comparable to the distortion of the gravitational field by objects of mass.
